BLAST is a partner-dancing company and DanceSport competition team that provides high-quality instruction alongside competitive, social, and performance dance opportunities. We are committed to creating an inclusive partner dance community for all levels of dancers, and all are welcome to join our classes, workshops, social events, and competitions!

Exec board applications are now open! Applications can be found here — please make a copy of the application you plan on submitting, retitle it with your first and last name, and send it to blastpres@gmail.com by March 23rd at 11:59pm.
Lessons
New to ballroom/social dancing? Come learn! We teach a variety of styles, from the classic waltz to the energetic cha-cha. Open to students and community members. No experience or partner necessary!
Competitions
Enter the world of DanceSport with Northwestern's competition team! You’ll learn styles in International Standard, International Latin, American Smooth and American Rhythm and will have the opportunity to attend intercollegiate college competitions.
Socials
From going to dance studios in the city, hosting dancing events at Northwestern, or trying out new food locations in Evanston, socials are a great way to show of some moves or meet new people!
Showcase
Learn routines in specific styles, set to a story and music on stage! If you would like to delve into a particular style (or set of styles) over the course of a quarter, show off your moves, or realize a creative vision, then come to auditions as a dancer or submit a bid as a choreographer. All levels are welcome!
